Good Morning!

The Fed and the BoJ both hiked by 25 bps; global yields keep marching up, and the Middle East conflict does not look to be ending, with the Houthis opening another front in Saudi Arabia. However, risk assets have had one of their best weeks, especially crypto coins, while AI-related stocks take another leg up, led by Meta. Iran’s foreign minister has travelled to New York, but so far there hasn't been any solid update, including any direct communication with Trump, who had suggested there might be a deal after the midterms.

Looking ahead, Trump and Xi are meeting tomorrow to discuss AI, trade, and the war in Iran. Next week, the most important data point we get is the monthly change in the US Core PCE index, expected to be higher than the last print. Additionally, US GDP is expected to soften quarter-on-quarter while personal spending is expected to tick up slightly this month.
